Crabtree Infants' School

The wearing of school uniform is entirely voluntary but most parents choose it for their children.   Details are listed below:

Navy sweatshirt/jumper/cardigan

Blue short sleeved polo shirt

Grey trousers (short or long)

Grey skirt or pinafore dress

Sensible school shoes - preferably black and velcro fastening.

Summer Alternative - blue and white gingham dresses may be worn. Sandals may be worn in the summer term with socks.

In addition:

For P.E: (To be brought to school on the first day of term to hang on named peg. They will be returned home at the end of each 1/2 term for a wash, and to check the size of the plimsolls. Alternatively they can be taken home any weekend and returned on Monday at the start of school).

P.E. T-shirt - blue ones with Crabtree logo available at school shop.

Suitable navy or black shorts with elasticated waist. Slip-on black plimsolls (also used as indoor shoes in wet weather).

P.E. bag with drawstring – school logo ones available at school shop.

In Winter - jogging bottoms – preferably navy, and spare sweatshirt for outdoor P.E.

For being able to access our outdoor curriculum:

Strong outdoor shoes with, if possible, the easy velcro fastenings which are easy for the children to manage.   Shoe laces are dangerous when they come undone.

In Winter - Wellington boots – to leave at school Monday-Friday.

In Winter – a warm waterproof coat.

In Summer - a waterproof coat with a hood and a sun-hat (fleeces available from the P.A.). 

All these items are obtainable from chain stores.   In addition the Parents' Association sells Crabtree logo uniform.
Items may be ordered during the week by filling out an order form and dropping it in to the school office. Orders are fulfilled on a Thursday morning and returned to you via your child's peg in their classroom.
The uniform shop is open on Thursday mornings from 9am to purchase new or second hand uniform.
Items available are sweatshirts, polo shirts, PE t-shirts, PE bags and fleeces. The P.A. also sells second hand uniform as well as other items, for example trousers, skirts and shorts. The availability of these is dependant on donations.

Please ensure all items of clothing are clearly marked with your child's name. All unclaimed items of clothing will be donated to the PA second hand uniform shop at the end of each term.

'Recycled' uniform is available in good condition - please e-mail as above. Please sort out all your recycleable uniform from time to time and donate to the PA shop. Many thanks.
