Thank you for showing an interest in Crabtree Infants’ School. We feel there is something very special about being an infant school as we can focus on children’s learning at the very beginning of their school journey. In May 2009, Crabtree Infants’ School was judged as providing outstanding provision. Although Ofsted has been through many changes since this time we continue to strive towards the new ‘outstanding’ criteria and continue to build on our strengths.
I am privileged to lead a team of professionals who are dedicated to leading and developing outstanding practice. Children here are encouraged to take risks with their learning and to understand that finding things ‘tricky’ and ‘making mistakes’ means that they are developing into great learners.
In April 2014 we became part of The Crabtree Academy Trust with Crabtree Junior School.
We are proactive in ensuring that both a caring environment, where everyone is valued and respected, and a high quality education is at the forefront of all we do.
We do not set any boundaries for the children’s learning so that they can make the best possible progress. We believe in working very closely with parents on this learning journey. In order to be great learners children need to be nurtured and develop self-esteem, independence, enthusiasm, resilience and a love of learning.
Visitors to our school often comment on the friendly and purposeful ethos of the school. I think that it is so important to visit a school as a prospective parent and I do hope that you are able to come along to the school to join one of the arranged tours.
